We support carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, and agencies with platforms that streamline underwriting, policy administration, connectivity, and operations. Our solutions reduce manual effort, improve data flow, and accelerate time-to-market. At Dyad, we focus on enabling scalable growth through modern, product-driven insurance technology.
ROLE SUMMARY :
The Product Operations Lead is a senior individual contributor role within Dyad’s Product & Technology division. This role is the operational backbone of the product organization responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the processes, tools, systems, and rhythms that enable Dyad’s product teams to operate at their best.
This is not a product management role. The Product Operations Lead does not own the product roadmap or drive feature decisions. Instead, this person ensures the product organization has the operational infrastructure, intelligence, and AI-enabled capabilities it needs to move faster, make better decisions, and deliver consistently high-quality outcomes. They work at the intersection of product, engineering, data, and AIbuilding systems that amplify the effectiveness of every product team member.
The ideal candidate brings deep familiarity with the end-to-end product development lifecycle, a strong command of AI tools and technologies as applied to product workflows, and a proven ability to bring structure and visibility to complex, fast-moving organizations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Process Design & Optimization
- Own and continuously improve the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and discovery through delivery and post-launch review.
- Define and maintain standard operating procedures, playbooks, and frameworks for product planning, prioritization, sprint execution, and roadmap management.
- Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and process gaps across the product lifecycle and implement targeted solutions to improve throughput and quality.
- Drive consistent adoption of product processes across multiple product teams and ensure alignment with engineering and QA practices.
- Lead the design and rollout of product operating cadences including planning ceremonies, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and portfolio reviews.
AI & Emerging Technology Integration
- Champion the adoption of AI tools and technologies within the product development workflow, including AI-assisted discovery, roadmap analysis, requirements generation, and documentation.
- Evaluate, pilot, and operationalize AI-powered tools (e.g., LLM-based assistants, intelligent prioritization engines, automated testing tools) to increase product team velocity and decision quality.
- Stay current on the AI landscape relevant to product operations and serve as a subject matter expert on practical AI applications in product contexts.
- Partner with engineering and data teams to build AI-enabled internal tooling that surfaces insights, automates repetitive product tasks, and reduces cognitive overhead for product managers.
- Develop and maintain guidelines and governance frameworks for responsible, effective use of AI in product workflows.
Product Tooling & Systems
- Own the product team’s tooling stack including roadmapping tools, backlog management systems, documentation platforms, and analytics dashboards.
- Manage integrations between product tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Productboard, Figma, or equivalents) and ensure data consistency and traceability across systems.
- Define and enforce data hygiene standards across product systems to enable reliable reporting and cross-team visibility.
- Drive vendor evaluation and selection for new product tooling, including requirements gathering, RFPs, and stakeholder alignment.
- Build and maintain self-serve dashboards and reporting infrastructure that give product leaders real-time visibility into team health, delivery progress, and product outcomes.
Product Intelligence & Analytics
- Design and maintain product KPI frameworks, OKR tracking systems, and outcome measurement processes that connect product activity to business impact.
- Partner with data and analytics teams to build product usage analytics pipelines and customer behavior dashboards that inform product decisions.
- Synthesize data from product usage, customer feedback, market research, and internal operations into actionable intelligence for product leadership.
- Drive regular product performance reporting to senior leadership, including product health scorecards and initiative progress reviews.
- Own the feedback loop between customer insights, support data, and product planning to ensure the voice of the customer is embedded in the product process.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Enablement
- Serve as the primary liaison between the product organization and functions including Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance on process, tooling, and operational matters.
- Facilitate alignment sessions, cross-team dependencies tracking, and risk escalation processes to minimize delivery friction.
- Lead onboarding for new product team members, including process education, tooling access, and product ops orientation.
- Build and maintain a product operations knowledge base to institutionalize best practices and reduce reliance on tribal knowledge.
- Mentor and guide PMs and junior product operations staff on effective use of processes, tools, and AI capabilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Skills & Experience
- 7–9 years of experience in product operations, product management, program management, or a closely related function within a software or technology company.
- Deep, hands-on understanding of the full product development lifecycle, from strategy and discovery through execution, launch, and iteration.
- Demonstrated experience operationalizing AI tools within a product or technology workflow — not just familiarity, but practical implementation and adoption at team scale.
- Strong command of product tooling ecosystems including roadmapping tools (e.g., Productboard, Aha!), project tracking (e.g., Jira, Linear), and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, Notion).
- Proficiency in data analytics and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, SQL, or equivalents) to build and maintain product intelligence infrastructure.
- Experience designing and implementing OKR or KPI frameworks and connecting product metrics to business outcomes.
- Familiarity with Agile and SAFe methodologies; ability to adapt and improve these frameworks for the organization’s needs rather than apply them prescriptively.
- Insurance technology or B2B SaaS industry experience is strongly preferred.
Professional & Behavioral Competencies
- Systems thinker with the ability to see across the product organization, identify leverage points, and design scalable solutions to operational challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex operational and technical concepts for both product and executive audiences.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity about AI and emerging technologies and their practical application in product contexts.
- Proven ability to drive adoption of new processes and tools across cross-functional teams, including building buy-in at the PM, engineering lead, and executive levels.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to structure and prioritize in environments where processes are still being defined.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with an evidence-based approach to process design and continuous improvement.
- Collaborative, low-ego leadership style with a service orientation toward enabling product teams to succeed.
- Demonstrated accountability, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously.
Required Availability
- Must be available during US business hours to partner effectively with the US-based product and engineering leadership team.
- Flexible to collaborate across global teams in India and the United States.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for team offsites, planning sessions, or strategic engagements as required.
